Shoe bearer's mission: ACCOMPLISHED - Day 139

Remember this?

Sworn to secrecy.

The day I followed Nona for her shoe fitting, there was no size initially. So, the next emergency thing to do was to customize. 4 weeks before the wedding. Crazy things girls do for beautiful shoes! So, because she had to be back in Malaysia to handle the wedding preparations, I was assigned to collect it from Aruna Seth when it was ready, fly home and deliver them in time for Nona's solemnization night! Imagine how stressed I was! The shoes were too pretty for me to handle them, but I was told to keep it low at that time.

Honoured. and pressured. Both at the same time.

How can a bride-to-be trust another person to bring back their wedding shoes?! Even I was half trusting myself. Hahahaha! What if my flight was delayed? Or my exams were postponed. What if someone followed me back whilst I was on the way back home from the collection place? Haha! Nona was not scared of any of them!

SHE. JUST.WANTS. HER. SHOES.
PERIOD

Well, I managed to collect it before my flight, in between exams and getting lost looking for the hotel. Got it up the plane safely and delivered it to Nona 2 nights before her wedding.

They were gorgeous, MasyaAllah!
I had goosebumps holding them :)

Day 138 - Shine bright like a diamond

I came back to London 2 days after school has started, and of course with that, I managed to save a few thousand bucks on flight tickets! :P

Since it's a new term, I thought what other possible way than to start it with bright colours! I'm known in school to be 'the girl who hates dark colours and always listening to Disney songs'. I don't mind it at all :) I love bright coloured things!

So, first day (third day la actually) of school:
... and for the next few days, I've lined up these happy-happy-no-crappy colours to wear :)
It's winter for God's sake! Kill those depressing colours shall we?

2013 and #FamilyLove

It's been too good a break back at home. I did not even have time to spend with my laptop, let alone write posts.

Nonetheless, HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone! :)

Deciding to go back this winter (I have never ever gone back for winter breaks. Ever!) was one of the best decisions I've made. Spent so much time with the family and my loved and close ones, I almost felt like doing Masters abroad was not all that great. Everyone's back at home, what was I thinking?! Now that I'm back in London though, I know that was just my emotions getting all over my system.

There were so many great moments that I wished I could go through again and again and there were also amazingly happy times that I did not want it to end. Oh well, all good things will come to an end, for sure. But winter break was too good!

Every year everyone renew their resolutions and yeah...try to stick to it. Bigger part of my 2013 would be to complete my Masters and surely, all I pray for is that my positive energy level will stay as high as possible at all times and my happiness stays intact. These 2 combined, can push me a great deal, InsyaAllah! :)

8 papers down, another 8 to go and a dissertation to complete. I never once thought that Masters can get this hectic. But you know what? I believe few years down the line, I'd look back and know that this was one of the greater decisions I've made in life. He has given me so much to experience, and He will only test if He knows one could take it :)

To a great 2013 and happy future coming my way!
