Perfect Saturday

Is one like today. Difficult to put into words, but definitely a beautiful picture so clear in my head :)

Happy faces
Amazing beautiful surprises
Long catch ups with the greatest people
Happy happy news
Even happier pictures
Being there for a friend who needed us the most
London-Malaysia calls
Serious talks
Making new friends!

Best of all, just being yourself around them who cares the most. So much love today!!! :)))

...and then I saw Fadza driving in with a big box of surprise. My eyes just lit! Mazrah was joking with Vivy, if her fans saw this, they'd think Fadza was cheating on Vy. Lol! Now I can't wait for next month! Thanks for making my day Vivy and Fadza :))))))))))))

Not so girly afterall

The other night, I went out with Aiman and was telling him all about my day. All about a girl's day out seeing the fabulous glamour divas for lunch - Kim and Asma'.
And most part of the day, bringing the kids out for some ice cream, book store, toyshop and play time before he said... "that's not girly. That's motherly"

-____-
This calls for some HashtagBubbleBurster
But come to think of it, he's right. Not entirely. If there's one (of the many) reasons I love being back home is my lil nieces and nephews and the kiddos back at home. They're growing up oh-so-quickly and every moment spent with them, witnessing all the intelligent-sometimes-weird-but-so-innocent acts are too precious! I've become so attached to them, that they've even decided to sleep at mine whilst I'm back. I even feel sad when I send them home!
I realized, the boys are quite dominant.
Super spoilt! Just look at those eyes, how do you say no?
Aiman thinks one day, when my own kids get scolded, punished and sent out to sleep outside of the house (haha! Don't ask me why outside the house!), I'd probably sleep outside with the kids for being naughty and leave dad sleeping alone in the house. He thinks I'd even build fun camp sites outside for the kids. Ha ha...not funny. I sound like a cool mum alright!
Once whilst I was walking with baby T, lullabying her to sleep, someone random came up to me and said
"Your daughter looks about 3 months! How did you manage into those skinny jeans so fast"

..."Well you know, I'm cool like that."

Day 124 - Little things

I came across this a couple of nights ago:
"Happiness doesn't come as a result of getting something we don't have, but rather of recognizing and appreciating what we do have"

The simplest things are often the happiest things :)

Even wearing bright colours and having Phoebe back from Singapore makes me happy!

Day 122 - Whatsapp buddies

Whilst I was in the UK, the 2 favourite people I whatsapped the most (and sometimes even skype in class with) were.....
Mum and Dad

Never in my undergraduate years have I ever come back for winter break to be honest, so I was pretty excited to leave London, well away from the cold in December. So were they, excitedly messaging me about my return right after exams.

To my surprise, I came home to such happening parents and I was only gone 4 months. What have they been eating?! Either Masters have drained me well, or mum and dad just got too happening, really. Once, I was craving for Japanese, so mum and dad decided to spoil me with japanese, and by the time we were done, I was already tired and happily full. So I thought, if I was tired, they'd be more tired. But noooo....next thing I know, they were having their own conversation in front:

"Ok, let's go coffee at some happening place"
"Happening Bukit Bintang la"
"Or hotels, with live band"

"WHAT?! Since when did you guys go coffee at happening places?! I WANNA GO HOME AND SLEEEEEEP LAH."

Mum and dad agreed Masters has made me old and gave me this look

Nothing like coming home to the best parents ever!!! Aih, I'm so spoiled. So in love with mama and daddy :)

Day 120 - Don't quite get it

Sometimes, some things are just taken for granted if it doesn't really bother you. May involve you, but doesn't really get on your nerves. Perhaps on someone else's more than yourself. So you don't really care.

...and then some things may be significantly important to you but not another person - but this other person is highly involved in it. And then there's that person who just wants things their way without taking into consideration if its of any inconvenience to others. Doesn't really kill you, but it frustrates you trying to understand how these people have the heart to bulldoze their way through. Then you start thinking, "whoa! This other person can be quite into themselves just as long as they are happy with what and how they want things to be, the rest don't really matter"

Lately, I've been surrounded by some rather insensitive kinda people one too many times. Not one person, but a few of the-world-revolves-around-me peeps in fact! Too often for my liking in fact. Maybe because I'm naturally a happy person who cannot be bothered with people who cannot see other people happy.

Oh well :)

Day 118 - They're off the market

Remember this?

So last weekend, when I flew back home a lil early, I had the honour of bringing back home her....wedding shoes! Of course I'm the most important person she needed back in London.
*flips hair*

Trust me, it wasn't all a flip-hair moment when I went to see the designer to collect the shoes and afterwards lugging the bag back home on the tube. I felt like the whole of London was watching to see where I stayed! haha! And then, the fear of not seeing my luggage when I get out at KLIA, so to check it in or not to check it in was also another problem. Too risky to check it in. Next.

anywayyyyy.....
Nona and Mateen are finally married, Alhamdulillah!
:):):):)

It has got to be one of the biggest akad nikah I've ever been too. Ok, maybe it's the number of hantaran that made it feel even more spectacular! Nope, not the usual girl-gives-guy-2more. Mateen gave Nona 21!! 6 or 7 more hantaran than Nona to him. Whoa!

Apparently some Sarawak adat....so Aiman has also been hinting that Sarawak men are the best guys that girls should look for. Just not me. He meant other girls.
"No sayang, orang Selangor should be thankful. Thankful that you're dating a Perak guy"
-________-
Grand and beautiful, just so detailed but definitely perfect MasyaAllah. To this girl who has gone through so much since I knew her 6 years ago, you deserve it all Nona! :) Getting your prince charming and all the happiness in the world!

Congratulations Nona and Mateen! Love you both big time!

Day 112 - Surprise trip back home

I know I've not blogged for the longest time, but I must say, Masters at Imperial is beyond hectic! Past few weeks I've been 'living in school' for up to 17 hours a day. From courseworks to assignments and exam preparations. I cannot believe how hectic it has become! Fell sick a couple of times, and weather was not helping either. Never in my life have I been well drugged with medication before, due to fever. So. Uncool.

To be honest, the past 4 months since I started the course, I've also never learned THIS much. It's so intense and they just keep feeding us with new knowledge every single day. But at the same time, it's amazing. The things that they teach us just makes me so excited! Not so amazing when it comes to exams though...coz that just means you've got more to read and understand. At one point, I was just absorbing in without having understood it first -____-

Exams were tough but yeah...

next.

I finished exams on Thursday at 12 pm and by 4pm, it was already Aiman's birthday back in Malaysia. We didn't make it past 4 pm, he fell asleep even before he turned 26. He's skillful like that, and we were never really all that great with time difference anyway. He mentioned a few weeks back that "even a boy at 26 still loves presents in boxes you know?", "Hmmm. Mmmmkays"...so I had to think of where-the-hell-do-I-find-a-big-box from all the way in London?! Demanding betul birthday boy ni. Bagi hints susah susah. Lol!

So for his birthday this year, I decided to send him a big box of present
(even if the present inside was not all that big)

 and

fly back home straight after exams, to be back home on his birthday!
If I could fit myself in a box, I swear I would have done so.
Happy birthday sayang!
I know long distance is not our cup of tea, but we've made it through 4 months with the most challenging ups and downs like never before, I've only got another 8 to go, InsyaAllah :)

Was also back to surprise mama and papa, and this was probably the best reaction I got. They had to look twice if I was their daughter or not. Worth every pound I spent on the new flight ticket home!

Not to forget, making it to abang Imran's and Kak Aliaa's engagement. MasyaAllah, they looked so good together, so was the event and everything about the event. 6 months to go InsyaAllah, I'm beyond happy for both of them! :)
(Clearer pictures kena tunggu official photographer ok :P)
For now, I'm just gonna rest and sleep and play and sleep somemore and eat and sleep and play and....

SO GOOD TO BE HOME YOU HAVE NO IDEA!!!!!

With the girl who has been spoiling me from the minute I arrived at KLIA. My one and only kak long :)
