Parks and Urbanspoon

Ever since exams ended, I've been able to see more of London, just like a tourist. But it only revolves around parks and food.

A park and a new place to eat a day keeps the doctors away :)
So, so far, it's either a stroll with the Adlis at Hyde Park, a jog at Regents Park, a round of tennis at Clissold Park or football at Finsbury Park. Gosh, I never knew London had sooo many parks that I think I have enough for me to go everyday till the day I leave London! Seriously. Well, it's also with the help of Aisyah and Affin that I get out of bed to go for some exercise in the hot summer sun!

All these strolls and walks that will surely lead us to a new place to eat eventually. I think since summer started, I've been eating alittle too many strawberries, my face is turning into one k! It's been like an every other day routine that I go to Waitrose to get a 500gm if not a kilogramme box of fresh strawberries to munch on in 10 minutes, maximum! haha :D Yummylicious! Then on Sundays when we would go to Hyde park, and after that drop by Delima for some teh tarik and roti canai before Adli leaves for work and leaves Yan, Haris and I some time to start shopping or Wii-ing or just bake bake bake! It's a self damage to ourselves if you put Yan and I together. Food is our passion, yes it is :):) Eventhough we tease each other bout growing bigger. Oh heck, it's good food for god's sake. Just eat la!

Once we were so hungry, we ordered so much at Selfridges that we had to decide on who to finish up the last bit.Well, Adli being the guy, he did the honour. Then on the night of Aisyah's summer Architecture exhibition, we went over to Sagar, and OH MY GOD. Note to self : NEVER order more than one tosai even if 5 of you guys are hungry! ONE tosai can feed 10 of us! We nearly died trying to finish it up, even the waiters were laughing at us for ordering more than ONE ok! Crayyyyzee. But since Affin and Aida were so hungry, we ended up ordering three GIGANTIC tosai. and then another time when we went for the Marylebone summer fair and ended up at Ping Pong lazy sunday dim sum buffet. SPLENDID!

Well, not enough with that, Yan decided to have an 'indoor' barbeque yesterday since NisaFidz were around and the food! Dapppp :) hehe. and I didn't just stop at the bbq, coz since Affin was leaving back for Malaysia today, we held a farewell dinner for him at Belgo and had Mussels and loads of em like as if we're in Brussels tak pernah tengok Mussels k. And Aunty actually thought the waiter was cute, she told him! HAHAHA! Was the waiter boy shocked or what?! So comel la. We were so full we looked drunk walking back home. Drunk from too much of food. We then just walked around covent garden window shopping whilst the food digested ( well, coz the shops were all already closed! ). Kak Yong and Aunty looking at shoes to buy whilst Aisyah, Affin and I were already thinking of what else to eat the next day. I can't seem to finish listing all the ones I've been to. It's just too long. There's Busaba, Itsu ( Excellent frozen yoghurt!), Oiishi...banyaknye. Tembam la jangan tak tembam!

Oh well... till the day I leave back for Malaysia, I shall make the mst out of my time here in London. I shall. It's a picnic day at hyde park tomorrow with lil Haris and baby Adam! :):) Yay!

The end of anticipation. BIG DAY marks the END

I've always anticipated this day when I am told officially I have graduated. Results day

I was restless the night before thinking about the upcoming big day! Seriously. I was anxious and fidgety, I am just thankful I had Yan, Shasa and Adli around just being silly and we were just chilling and laughing our hearts out till the wee hours, and taking my mind off my results day.
We were told to be in Uni the day after for NO SPECIFIC reason, and for that, it made me so scared. Scared of the results, anticipating the future and most of all taking the biggest step out of Uni and leaving behind all of my friends. Seeing that my group of friend in Uni consist of locals and International student and every other nationalities EXCEPT MALAYSIAN. Why of course I would not see them much after this.

The minute I stepped foot into the Econs department, I nearly fainted! haha. Earlier in the morning I had allowed myself to wake up late and take my own sweet time getting ready. Babysat Haris and watched my new-obsession tv show with Yan, iCarly, and just laid myself lazy n the couch.

The scariest part of all was the moment I was given my results in an envelope, I tore my results envelope open, and ALHAMDULILLAH, it was *thumbs up*. Yay! Most of all, I could hear Mama's and daddy's happiness over the phone when I called them. I loved the sound of their smile :):):) followed by the super long reply from Phoebe and Shushu. It all paid off. PaMa allowing me to have my melbourne trip. My back-to Malaysia-easter trip. A new Macbook Pro when the old one crashed. Ili extending her visit to London. Allowing myself to have fun like there's no exam during those exam period. at Yan's and Adli's all the way until exam ended, and most importantly, Mama and daddy's and abang's prayers. Them reading the Yaasin everytime I sat for a paper and all their motivation and support. A parent would never stop praying for their lil ones. Ever! :)) I remembered the night before I had one of the paper and I stayed over at Yan's, having long night chats with them whilst Adli and Aizat jammed their lungs and guitar out. Yes, acknowledging the fact that Adli and I had paper the next day! hehe :)

For now, I'm just thankful and very very happy for what I've managed to achieve and for being able to make mama and daddy proud most of all :)) and of course alongside that, fulfilled all job offers and Masters offers requirements! YAY!

Btw, Aisyah, Khairul and I have moved into our new apartment, and it's AWESOME! I love the new place. It's just excellent :)) The location in between 2 beautiful parks, the place, the fitted furniture and the modern concept. But it's 3 floors...so a bit tiring going up and down, I always find myself on the 2nd floor.

My elder sister in London

Why now? Only when I'm about to leave London then I meet her. Him. Them.

Seriously. We may not look alike, but I think we have so many similarities that I thought she may be my long lost twin. Just that she came out 4 years earlier. I got stuck in the stomach for a wee-4-years-while. Wait a minute. That makes Ikhwan my 4-years-and-30-minutes twin too. K maybe not twins then. Just a great friend I've met 2 months ago.

I've been babysitting  lil handsome Haris since I came back from France, and I think he knows me well already! Yay! haha :) An amazing lil angel, so cute and handsome at the same time, and most of all the luckiest baby boy to have an excellent set of parents such as Yan and Adli. They are individually a great mummy and daddy. Really, since babysitting lil baby boi, I've learn and done so many mummy-chores for a lil boy, and I now understand why new parent are always so tired. Nonetheless, they're coping very well, indeed. From changing diapers to feeding. Hush a lullaby to make him sleep. Memorizing so many nursery rhymes and getting used to watching playhouse disney during the day.

I've come to settle down very comfortably with them, my "housemates" (Adli and Haris) and my very own big sister (Yan). Probably because of the fact that Yan is Ili's best friend and we have so many things in common (like seriously), we've been spending everyday together caring for Haris whilst Adli work on night shifts calls, food hunting and checking out summer fairs with Adli and Haris on days when Adli is off work, going out shopping with her like a sister I've never had before and starbucks-ing in between. The one I come home to and go "Yan! You know what happened todayyy?" and we'll just sometimes sit and lie on the bed with Haris and talk about what happened and laugh till we cry. A company that is so warm and welcoming Yan and Adli are. Yes, I have my set of clothes, towel, toothbrush, everything!...all in Ikhwan's room in Yan's house :)

They're an amazing family, whom I've regretted not knowing earlier eventhough Ili has told me to do so since the very beginning. If not for kakakku, I wouldn't have met Yan too.
P/s : I've also started dance classes with Shasa :) It's simply superb doing something you like with a company that has the same interest. Going for classes together and walking back home talking bout dance and music. I love you Sha for taking me there :))

As for right now, I need some sleep, since I haven't been getting enough up to the point where Yan and I didn't last that long at Oxford street today. We decided to grab wagamama and ordered sushi delivery and just headed home for a good meal and catching up with Adli instead. I do have my elder sisters out here :)) I love them! Yan, Adli, Haris, Sha and Ili. The company I've had since exams started.

What's the letter that comes after 'U'? Ok, now say it TWICE.

Today baby Re came to wake me up with her "Aunty A-ya (Alia), wake uppp!" and I thought of blogging about my amazing camping trip in France with Abang and Kak Azura, Sofi, Reana, Atok and Awe, when I realized this in the draft page.... Something I was going to post up but final exams got in the way. Big obstruction! So, I've decided to blog about France later la. It just has to wait. Later in the evening when I wait for Abang to come home from work and Sofi to come back from school. So I'm making way for the draft now :)
_______
P, Q, R, S, T, U ... V. "VV", Vivy Sofinas Yusof.
I might not know her all that well, inside and out, but ENOUGH to make out that she is this amazing girl who is so very true with her intentions and doings. Once upon a day, I used to tell Shura that there's this girl in London who reminded me a bit about her and how this girl in London has a best friend in Melbourne. Just like Shura and I. Maybe that's why subconsciously, I pictured something similar.

When I introduced both to each other....turned out that they used to be best friends in standard one! and so much for saying they remind me of each other, teachers in school used to think that they look alike during those lil-girls day too. From then onwards, they became facebook buddies, and all because I thought they look alike once upon a day. Hooray for finding long lost best friends! :)

...and last week, she did just that.
I could just blab and spill to her like I've known her for-oh-such-a-long-time-already, whilst she shows her genuine happiness for whatever I got or my well being ; genuinely happier than those I'm even closer with at times, making me feel that "it is a good thing afterall!".
She gives me her true opinions and thoughts like what I think one would do for a close friend and clearly, someone I have come to feel comfortable with when I need to get some stress out of my head and ask for opinions. She doesn't do any of those I'll-say-this-just-to-make-you-feel-better or you-do-the-thinking-whilst-I'll-just-agree-with-it. She puts herself in your same size shoes. She proper gives you back a 100 lines worth of honest view.... when I asked a 20 liner :P hehe. K, that's an exaggeration!

But you get the picture.

For now, I've sketched that future path ahead of me, freaking-long-updated-messaged Vivy about my decision and I'll just travel along with it, sketching the bridge when I need it. Along the way....I will dream of Harvard! HAHA! Yeah right! A very far fetched dream but thanks for the idea Vee! and yes, cupcakes celebration after exams. I'm running like a headless chicken now trying to make full use of what is left of Uni.

...and to think, I knew about her on my flight back from Malaysia, in the plane where I sat next to her other half in my first year, Fadza. Him who never came to an agreement with me about "what is zero divided by zero". Vivy got tired of us debating, she concluded that engineers and mathematicians need help.

So this is one of the girl who fits in the Alia-Shura-Vivy-Ajjie cycle :) Thanks Vee.

Final Year

I'm not the only one who is countable months away from home for a long period, but so is Abang and Kak Azura. This would be their final year in the UK after being here for the past 18 years.PETRONAS has finally called them back. From A levels, to a medicine degree, and now successful doctors in Ireland. Both of them :) Amazing aren't they?

So we made it a point to spend our last summer here together, hence the traveling and camping in France and making the most out of this year's summer. For the past three years I've been visiting them. From the time there was just Sofi, till now when there's Baby Re,  I won't get any less of them either, coz they're coming home with me! Yay! Can't wait to go for a holiday with them now. Yippedeedoo!

Second and the next 10 upcoming days of freedom

After a good night last night, i thought I'd die out the minute I got home, but NO. My eyes had to be so wide awake and fresh....just because there's no exams. hehe :)

Oh well, it's all good! :D
Woke up early to clear some lil things in my room, packed them up, zip it up and ready to be dragged all the way to Arsenal where I will be staying for a month and a half before I fly back to Malaysia. Yes, it's gonna be me, Aisyah and Affin in a HUMUNGOUS gorgeous apartment, situated at Arsenal, where the stadium is as well with three beautiful rooms and an amazing living room. All rooms and living fitted with a flat screen samsung don't-know-how-many-inches-but-it's REALLY-BIG flat screens mounted onto the wall. Superb babe! I'm in love with the apartment. Let's just hope and pray I don't start watching too many Arsenal games and become a hard core fan. NEVER. Pffft. If I ever become one, just because the place I'm living in is a neighbour to the stadium, I'm a total idiot :P Slap me please you Man U ppl. Thanks.

Came back home afterwards and I started doing some spring cleaning before I felt faint 3 hours later. Quickly got everything done, and off to dreamland I went whilst the rerun for Britains got talent played. Napping without having to set an alarm to wake up is so best la. I think I can really get used to all this tido lambat, bangun awal, nap bile bile nak routine tau. Bye bye banking, hello dreamland :D

Well well well, I woke up, grabbed some cereal since my mouth felt like binging ( yes, my mouth NEVER stops! ) and I took my own sweet time just getting ready to go over to Yan's for some Haris time! Haris is so super handsome now, and so petah. I can't quite make out what he says, but I know he loves talking! Such a sucker for girls he is. hehe...So whilst waiting for Dr Adli to come home from work, we were thinking of movies. Initially, Shasa and I were thinking of watching Angels and Demons. Yan on the other hand was thingking Coraline 3D version, WITH lil Haris with us, which I thought would be so interesting too. But you know what we ended up with in the end?

Nope, not Star Trek. Instead, we watched, "Pizzas, Sushis, Baskins and many more fatty" :) it was 2 BIG BOXES of Pizza, BAGS of SUSHI and SASHIMI BOXES, and afterwards, the Azams came with TUBS and TUBS of BASKIN ROBIN ice creams. Dapppp! Tembam la jangan tak tembam :P Yes, you figured right if you said we ended up being couch potatoes with the TV watching us :) Excellent! hahaha. All 8 of us just stayed home and "played" lazy. When will we ever let something else win over food? Adli made me eat eel sushi, and oh dear me, kulit ikan tu licin giler please. Seriously. Macam it wax-ed it's body clean! It was not bad though, quite yummy, but I needed to eat that with the rice.

All in all, it was a really fun night. As always!

As for the next 10 upcoming days, I'm off to Ireland tomorrow to abang's place, before we head over to France for a camping ( Luxurious style! haha! ) trip. With Atuk and Awe too! and the lil princesses nieces of mine, Raja Erin Sofea and Raja Erin Reana. Let's hope they won't run around too much and make their own way to Disneyland k. Penat Aunty Alia nak kejar korang nanti. I'll be back in London and my plans after that are also those I look forward too! Very much. Dance classes and a lot of Haris time :):)

Till then, please la you tube Diversity korang yg belum tengok. Click here.  They are AWHHSOME. Plus, did I mention, the leader of the group, Ashley is a second year Physics whiz kid in my Uni. Yes! Now that's QUEEN MARY HAS TALENT. and to think that I take one physics module....DAMN! :)
