Genuinely brings out the best in the truth - Cupcakes? Nah...

They're true, non pretentious, package of love.

A package filled with the truth
A package that doesn't judge other packages
A package that makes me happy and knocks sense into me
A package that's not pretentious about it's contents
A package so true, it's surely a package you'd want to keep forever
Most importantly, a package worth investing in, long term
Nonetheless, it's good to have a taste from a different packaging too, it's good to explore and see what that other packages out there are filled with.

After all, these packages are a parcel of life.

I love your first bite into that red velvet Hummingbird cupcake Fran! Priceless :)

Professor Makedon made Money and Banking my favourite lecture

So it started off with

"When the interest rates can do nothing to heal the damage in the economy and continue to allow the recession to go deeper that a CB might look into printing money" and go on with "but with this, comes the after effects. One, you will increase your international debt, and you know why? Because when you print money like nobody's business, your currency's value will skydive. It depreciates, not devalue and I'll explain to you why later."

He continued to say
"So whilst we hoard our wealth, those dollar and euro- rich bastards, oh my, sorry! You guys from America, yes? I did not mean that for you", whilst pointing at Kyra and Josh. "In simple terms, whilst we locals hold on to our money, those foreigners are enjoying their time, taking advantage of the weak sterling spending away at one of those high streets like Selfridges, Harrods, Doicher and Gana".

"What's Doicher and Gana sir?".

"My oh my! Don't tell me you guys don't shop at those shops! Aaah, see that young lady's glasses, what it says by the side?" and with that, the whole lecture hall turned to look, embarrassing the poor girl from China.

"Ahhh, you meant D& G? It stands for Dolce and Gabana sir"

And everyone just shook their heads and laughed

"Well, I know there's Burberry...and Mulberry. What else is there? That one which sells jewelries that girls like my daughter wish for as a wedding gift. In that Blue box, but I don't think you might know. There's none here in the UK. It's called Stephanie's "

"It's Tiffany and Co by the way Prof"

Stunt...he only managed "Oh! They do have it here? Where have I been living?"

Hahaha! He makes lecture sessions just so amazingly not boring :)

Random Schmandom

I think it's a very...funny word. haha! Only after I wrote that to Vivy only then I realized that it is a funny word.
Anyway, random schmandom did you knows? :-
  • Selfridges has nicer cupcakes than Hummingbird. Well, not all that is.
  • Everything seem to have a cycle. From the most serious scenario of the financial crisis where the vicious circle is already taking hold, in which UK liabilities grow as sterling falls in value to the most random cycles  that randomly pops in my head. I talk to Shura, I think Shura - Ajjrina - Vivy - Shura. haha!
  • I did not read the Financial Times today because holding the paper straight up always strains my arm, plus I didn't think I have the time today nor do I have any excess floor space to read the FT on. Yes, I read the FT if and only if I have excess floor/table space. Did I mention bout the fact that the newspaper is wide and tall.
  • Phoebe is drinking tea...in my face. and online shopping for Medball!
  • I've been Obama-nized. He's so inspiring. I guess lawyers tend to have the ability to speak well and capture the audience. public speaking. Oh well, something that I never mastered.
  • Ok, I shall get hold of the FT.
  • I love waking up early so that my day will last longer. But, it doesn't necessarily mean that I do have the ability to wake up early everyday. Pfftt.
  • An interesting fact I came across - to find out that the liabilities of those wobbly banks here la in the UK is actually equivalent to double the country's total output and FORTY times the current Government borrowing. Geez...those pounds, they are falling, so, might as well sell the pound and take all your cash out of the UK, their economy is finished.
  • It scares and worries me to see that my batch of graduates made it into the history -  for being the worst batch that will be affected in terms of the employment factor upon graduation.
  • I should go and continue completing my geometry assignment now.

Monday 19 January 2009

The past week in my 2009 was...

  • officially the end of the best winter holidays I've ever had throughout my days in UK
 Italy, Paris, Ireland

  • The beginning of the last term of my formal education life
Officially 5 more months before I don't see them everyday anymore

  • a special day for this amazing one and only abang in my life
He turns 25 on January 14th. My idol, my entertainer, most of all, my beloved bang long

  • We got all kelam kabut trying to get live streaming for Anugerah Juara Lagu to watch Ili and Aizat perform =) You Amdans sang very well indeed!

  • My hours with Ms Best Friend has increased, blissfully. Since she has no school, she amazingly wakes up during those wee hours just to accommodate my timing and so that we can webbie and catch up. You do just too much for me Shura.
  • My friends and I made it into the history books! Officially, graduates of 2009 created history for being the worst batch that will be affected during this financial crisis. Worse time to be graduating...*sigh*, but hey, on a brighter side, it's not always that we get to be in the history books. Plus, very unlikely that we can do much to steer the economic cycle to spin faster. Well, at least one thing we could do is...SPEND! SHOP! Boost those aggregate spending! That's a first step to help ourselves out of the crisis. haha!
For another bearable week ahead =)
